TEXTILES IN GAZİANTEP
Textile machinery manufacturer companies participating in the fair will have the opportunity to directly reach the market with the hosting of Gaziantep, which holds a prominent importance in textiles, ready-made clothing, home textiles, carpet, nonwoven, fabric and yarn production. Gaziantep, which is amongst the provinces that have made significant progress in the textile sector, has been the leader in many product groups with its Textile Production Capacities. In addition to the textile production carried out by Gaziantep, the city positioned as the center of Turkish textile production with the textile industry which is clustered around the neighboring cities. In the first 3 months of 2024, Gaziantep textile industry exported 340 million USD and became the province with the highest textile export after Istanbul. 71% portion of Turkish Textile Exports in the first three months were carried out from Istanbul and Gaziantep. 28 of the companies operating in Gaziantep are amongst Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises.

Turkey's Textile Production is Clustered Around 3 Major Areas
The first is the Marmara cluster, which includes Istanbul, Edirne, Sakarya, Düzce, Tekirdağ and Bursa.
The second is the Aegean Cluster, which includes Izmir, Uşak, Aydın and Denizli.
The share of the two regions listed above controls %25 of the Turkey's textile production.
The region that achieves 75% of Turkey's main textile production is;
Gaziantep, Adana, Adıyaman, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa are the clustering regions.
As a natural outcome of this clustering, the Turkish market, in wider acknowledgment, regarded as the prominent region to run the fair, for both domestic and foreign textile machinery manufacturers. Being aware of the importance of the region, many companies have established service centers in Gaziantep and surrounding provinces. Adana (Distance to Gaziantep Fairground 2 Hours / 250 km)
Adana, the seventh largest province of Turkey, positioned as the economic and urban center of the Çukurova region. Adana textile industry, which produces with the cumulative experience gained in years in the textile industry, realizes an export of up to 300 million dollars annually. According to Adana Chamber of Industry (ADASO) records, 282 textile enterprises are situated in the city. Companies operating in the textile sector mainly consist of yarn, woven and knitted fabrics as well as dyehouses. 12 of these companies are amongst Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises.
Adıyaman (Distance to Gaziantep Fairground 1 Hour 30 Minutes / 170 km)
Adıyaman industry has progressed tremendously in the last decade due to advancements in the textile sector. The textile sector, which constitutes 36 percent of total industrial enterprises, is also the sector that creates the most employment. The yarn industry branch, which emerged based on processing cotton raw material, ranks third after cotton and ginning, covering 18 percent of the total textile enterprises. The textile sector and Adıyaman, which have made great strides, have been named as priority provinces amongst others in investment and investment incentives by the government, together with Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye.

Kayseri (Distance to Gaziantep Fairground 4 Hours / 350 km)
Textile and apparel products rank first in the total export figures of Kayseri, which is 4 hours away from Gaziantep by highway. Kayseri, which has an important regard in the Turkish textile industry, has adequate own liquidity in terms of resources required for industrial development. The textile industry is amongst the leading sectors in Kayseri, where total exports exceed 1 billion dollars annually. Malatya (Distance to Gaziantep Fairground 2 Hours / 240 km)
The textile industry continues to grow and expand gradually in Malatya. Many companies operate in the fields of yarn, knitting, weaving, dye-finishing and ready-made clothing disciplines in Malatya. Textile and apparel sectors are the locomotive in providing employment in Malatya as well as in our country. Niğde (Distance to Gaziantep Fairground 4 Hours / 400 km)
According to the incentive law, there are many companies of various scales operating in the fields of yarn and knitting in the textile sector, which has the biggest stake in the development of the industry of Niğde, located in the 5th Region. The province, which has two organized industrial zones, is at the center of attention of investors with its proximity to Mersin Port, highway connection avenues and with the incentives provided. Niğde, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye were included amongst the priority provinces in the government's investment incentive program.
